One of the most enchanting melodies I have ever heard

The Flame

Remember when we loved?
Remember when we danced
each to music that the other played?
It was so sweet and tender then.

as newborns waking to the world.
We sailed a voyage of discovery
     plying deep uncharted waters
     gentle winds at our backs.
Remember when we loved?

Remember when we soared?
Remember when
we climbed
wings outstretched to grab the air?
We gained the heights atop the clouds
     heedless of the ground below.
We dared the lofty eagles
challenged them in their own domain
and  laughed to watch them veer away.
Remember when we soared?

Remember when we shared?
Remember when we gave
heedless of the cost, no expectation of return?
The world was ours to take
all within our reach to offer to the other.
Give and take, take and give.
Such pure delight in common bonds of
one for all and all for one.
Remember when we shared?

Remember when we laughed?
Remember when the sun shone bright
     and lightened darkest storm-cast day?
Our joy held threatening clouds at bay
took such delight in simple things
gave no care for gaudy flash or show.
A look, a glance could spark a smile.
     Would banish darkest thoughts
     beyond the distant far horizon.
Remember when we laughed?

When we loved
     When we danced
          When we soared
               When we shared
                    When we laughed

Remember when we loved?

Remember
